Where the views are breathtaking and with Scandinavia’s largest ski area a ski-boot step outside the door, lies the mountain hamlet of Ljungvind. With the primeval forest at the back, and Funäsdalen’s ski resort in front of it, Ljungvind is designed to suit both the dedicated skiers, adventurers and families. The architecture of Ljungvind is inspired by the dramatic nature that surrounds it. The wooden facades of the houses are in forest-green shades similar to the nearby pineforest and the pattern of the panel is reminiscent to that of the scales of spruce cone. It is a mountain village whose atmosphere is reminiscent of the traditional mountain village, but which is designed for today. Small scale, coziness and functionality characterize the accommodation where the village courtyards and winding corridors between the houses create a small-town feeling. Of course, the facades of the houses are decorated with details inspired by the local folklore. Welcome to Ljungvind!
