On the shoreline, next to Helsingborg’s city centre, sits Scandic Oceanhamnen, with views overlooking Öresund. The hotel is located at the far end of the harbor pier, and the interiors are therefore dominated by the mile-wide sea views. The hotel has been constructed according to the Miljöbyggnad Gold certification standard and has been approved by the Svanen, the official Nordic eco-labelling organization. Sustainability has been at the heart of the project, which has been reflected in the design and choice of materials. The interior includes table tops made from recycled glass and wood waste, as well as carpets made of recycled fishing nets and PET bottles from the oceans. The interior shifts in calm, warm colors inspired by the sea with decor details such as vintage paintings and vases made of recycled glass. In the relaxation area, you can settle down in the suspended armchairs among foliage of the greenery, do yoga in the morning sun or take a sauna at dusk. On the roof terrace at the top of the building is Studio Oceanhamnen, an extraordinary meeting room with fantastic sea views and an expansive terrace.
